MYSTERY BAY SIGHTSEEING LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

A lookout in Eurobodalla National Park about twenty metres across the grass from the carpark - take the one on the right at the end of the road, near the picnic shelter. The views over Mystery Bay are spectacular, and whales are spotted from here in season. There is a picnic shelter, a barbecue, some seating, a pit toilet and parking. The beach is either a short drive to the carpark at the end of the road or about a hundred metres on foot: wild, rocky and dotted with pools, with waves that crash rather than lap. Camping sits just behind the dunes among the eucalypts, with wallabies and birds for company, toilets and a cold shower, and outdoor showers just off the sand. Sunset here is the time to have a camera.
